The KIA Club Pre-K Program is a state-funded initiative designed to prepare four-year-old children in Georgia for success in Kindergarten.
Any child who turns four years old by September 1 of the current school year and is a resident of Georgia may enroll in the KIA Club Pre-K Program. Participation is optional for both families and providers.
Because the program is voluntary, availability may vary depending on the community. While efforts are made to accommodate all interested families, space limitations may exist. We strive to collaborate with qualified centers or direct families to alternative providers within the region to ensure every child has an opportunity to participate.
The Pre-K program typically follows the standard academic calendar, mirroring the hours of a regular school day. Programs may be hosted at local public schools or through private preschool service providers.
For families needing additional care, extended day services (before-and-after-school care) may be offered. Parents are encouraged to contact their Pre-K provider directly for details about these options.
To register your child, you will need to provide proof of age and Georgia residency. Acceptable documents for proof of age include a birth certificate, passport, hospital record of live birth, green card, pink card, or Federal I-94 card. Residency can be confirmed with a lease agreement, utility bill, or a letter from a shelter or employer.
